weigh-in vol.4

day: 34
my blog-schnizzles!

i have had a kind hectic weekend
(i will get into that later) hence why i am just now getting around to posting my weigh-in results from yesterday’s weekly meeting.
drum roll please…
i lost 2lbs!
can you even believe it?
i was just convinced i was gonna have a gain!?!?! i am telling ya, that scale is squirrly bastard. two weeks ago i was floored by a slight gain & this week i am floored by a sa-weet loss!

(me @ the gym all happy & shit!)
wanna hear the coolest thing about all of this?
not only was i pms’n & all that jazz like a mofo…
i also ate every single one of my points. dailies, weeklies, and all of the ap’s & i earned like 60 last week.
hmmm – maybe those weight watcher folks know what they are doing afterall?
i have said it before and i will say it again: the plan works when you work the plan!
end of story!

so yeah – i was a super-happy camper! i have lost 8.6 lbs total and am only 1.4 lbs. away from hitting 5% -- w00ts!
perhaps this week? if not, definitely the next!

so last night i went out with my friends.
yes me!
to an adult establishment, with other adults, and we partook of adult beverages!

bri stayed home with skylar & i went out – a first mind you.
and before you all get in a tizzy it is not because he won’t let me
(ha, as if) i just haven’t had the gumption or desire to do so in a very long time. between being a new mom (again), the depression, poor body/self-image, yadda yadda… that sorta thing wasn’t a priority to me. and it isn’t now even – but sometimes ya gotta get outta the house and run amuck!
and i did…

to be clear – we had a fuckin’ blast! we had some beers, heard a awesome band, danced a wee bit, and laughed our asses off. i needed last night!
i didn’t realize how much i have missed letting loose.
i need to let loose more often.

but i gotta tell ya – i paid the price most of today.
i was so effin’ hungover that i actually uttered that eternal promise of *i am never drinking again*.
definitely a top five of all time hangover
(and there have been many because i used to be the party girl extraordinaire).
it sucked gorilla balls. and what pisses me off the most about it is that i didn’t really drink all that much. i had about six beers through the course of the night which is more than i normally drink, but certainly not excessive.
this from the chick who could drink many a dude under the table back in the day…

i ultimately had to bite the bullet and run to a drugstore to get some alka-seltzer. it tastes like two day old buttcrack – but man did it work. within an hour i was eating and felt a bajillion times better.

i had to get better and fast – i wasted half the day dying
(or at least wanting to) and hunter, my 17 year old eldest son, had his homecoming this evening and we had his girlfriend and her family coming over tonight for photos.
gawd bless alka-seltzer!

lessons learned: i am old, cannot hang, and always have alka seltzer on hand!

will this detour me from going out again?
nope!
plans are in the works for our next adventure… yay!
i will just drink less or stick to wine!

don’t forget to join the hop – no rules and it runs until midnight tomorrow!
